Texas State Parks – Camping Resumes May 18 With Restrictions
My husband and I love to go camping. or should I say Glamping? Either way, we will be able to go camping again soon. In Texas, the state parks are open for day use only right now, but starting May 18 the camping will start back up but only if you already booked a spot. And of course, there are restrictions and regulations too.
According to the Texas State Parks and Wildlife Department:
Limited overnight camping will resume May 18.
- Overnight camping for folks with existing reservations at most parks will resume on Monday, May 18, 2020.
- We may need to cancel some reservations to comply with social distancing guidelines.
- Changes in the health situation could affect this timeline.
- No new reservations can be made for now. They will notify the public once new reservations can be booked.
You can sign up for email updates at the bottom of their website home page so you will know when they will start taking reservations.
