The City of Texarkana, Texas partnered up with the Master Gardeners of Bowie and Miller county and hosted a tree planting project this past Wednesday, March 2. Students from Maud, Liberty-Eylau, Pleasant Grove and Texarkana, Arkansas ISDs all participated in planting 600 trees into pots. The Texarkana Independent School District has new quarantine guidelines for students and staff that went into effect on Monday.

Pleasant Grove Elementary School sent an entire class home to quarantine after one of the students tested positive for COVID-19. The district found out about the positive case last Tuesday, August 25. At that point the class that the infected student was a part of was required to quarantine and attend school remotely for the time being...

Southern Arkansas University is doing everything it can to help, including this valuable resource called the FREE Mulerider Market, located in the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the campus of SAU.

Congratulations to Texarkana College students and employees as they have raised over $4000 to go into the Harvey HELP fund to benefit students affected by Hurricane Harvey.
