Southern Arkansas University’s 38th Annual Celebration of Lights on December 1, 2022, will offer an abundance of holiday cheer with festive lighting displays, photos with Santa, train rides, festive food, and a special presentation of “The Grinch.”

Congratulations to the students of Trice Elementary School for great showings at the Regional Science Fair held on the SAU campus.

Classes for the Spring Semester at SAU start-up this Wednesday, January 12, and with the surge in Omnicron cases the university is changing things up a little.

Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia is getting ready to celebrate its annual Celebration of Lights on Thursday, December 2.

How great is this? I love to see our history preserved and if you have ever been to the campus of Southern Arkansas University then you most likely have seen the beautiful historic Bussey Hall. It is one of the landmarks on campus.

The extraordinary generosity of SAU’s alumni and friends led to this year’s seventh annual Giving Day becoming one for the books.

Southern Arkansas University has announced its 2021-2022 academic schedule. SAU altered the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semester schedules to accommodate COVID-19 and the new protocols. However, the upcoming academic year’s schedule will revert to normal. Please view the 2021-2022 schedule below.

Last year was a crazy and it's been a tough week for a lot of people with all the snow and ice!  We need something sweet and good to hear about and this just might be it.  Southern Arkansas University is keeping hope alive. Congratulations to four art students who received Art scholarships at SAU and two of them are from the Texarkana area! One from Texarkana and the other is from just down the road in Atlanta, Texas.

The new year is looking up for students at Southern Arkansas University as they welcomed students back to campus for the Spring Semester 2021. Rest assured that while safety guidelines are being followed SAU has some big plans this semester as both hybrid and in-person classes began Wednesday, Jan. 13.

It's been a fun summer tradition for kids and teens every summer and there are big hopes that this summer the Mulerider Kids and Teen Colleges will be in-person at Southern Arkansas University. Last year the MKC and MTC were virtual and they were a big success.
