I love festivals especially ones that celebrate things that are a little out of the norm. This festival sounds like it's right up my alley. I mean, a Goat Festival? How can you not have fun?  The Arkansas Goat Festival takes place Saturday, October 7 from 10AM to 7PM in Perryville, AR located just northwest of Little Rock.

According to their website, goats are welcome. So, if you have a goat you can enter him in different actives.  If you don't have a goat that's okay too because it'll be fun to watch all the goat actives. There will be a goat parade, goat costume contest, a goatee contest (which is open to humans as well), goat races, goat yoga, plus goat cheese and soap demonstrations. There will also be live music and lots of food vendors.

Be sure to check the schedule of events so you don't miss anything.  You can also visit their Facebook page for more information.

The festival is free to attend and takes place at the City Park on Recreation Drive in Perryville, AR.
