Red River Flooding
The Red River is expected to get out of banks over a portion of NE Texas over the next few days. The Red should crest a little above a foot over flood stage near DeKalb at Pecan Point.
Flood stage is 24 feet and the crest should be around 25.2 feet occurring sometime from Thursday afternoon thru Midday on Friday before slowly falling.
Expect minor flooding of lowland areas. Ranchers are encouraged to move livestock and equipment to higher ground until the river returns to within its banks.
