Now you don't have to travel far to discover sea life, lagoons, underwater caves, coral reefs and other tropical delights. Shreveport, LA., is now the home of the Shreveport Aquarium which officially opened today (Nov. 1).

The Shreveport Aquarium features more than 3,000 animals that represents over 270 species such as jellyfish, octopus, sharks, rays, tropical fish, and many more. Visitors to the aquarium will be also be allowed to touch sea urchins, shrimp, starfish, stingrays all under supervision. You'll learn a lot about these sea creatures from a professional staff who are trained to take care and maintain these animals. Kids, if you look real hard you may find Nemo or Dory.

Children under 3 FREE with adult

Parking is FREE
