Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Brings You ‘Home For The Holidays’ December 15 – 17
The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Philip Mann, Music Director and Conductor, presents the first concert of the 2017-2018 Acxiom Pops Live! season: Home for the Holidays, Friday, December 15th at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 16that 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 17th at 3:00 p.m. at the newly-renovated Robinson Center.
According to the Press Release, the ASO celebrates Christmas and the holidays with traditional family favorites like O Holy Night, There's No Place Like Home for the Holidays, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas and music from the hit animated film Polar Express. Popular classical holiday music such as Vivaldi's Four Seasons along with Hanukah songs, Mele Kalikimaka, Feliz Navidad, and much more music round out the program to help concertgoers celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
The orchestra features full woodwind, brass, and percussion sections, as well as vocal soloists Melody Small and Kelly Singer. The ASO is joined by professional adult chorus, Praeclara, under the direction of Bevan Keating, and the Voices Of Central Arkansas (VOCA) Children's Choir. The Pops Live! Series is sponsored by Acxiom. Home for the Holidays is sponsored by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. The media sponsor for the Pops Live! Series is The Point 94.1.

All Arkansas students grades K-12 are admitted to Sunday’s matinee free of charge with the purchase of an adult ticket using the Entergy Kids’ Ticket, downloadable at http://www.arkansassymphony.org/freekids. Please note: the Entergy Kids' Ticket Voucher must be redeemed for a reserved seat by calling the Box Office or presenting it at the Box Office beginning 90 minutes prior to a concert.
