Can you believe that in the state of Arkansas this is the word they misspell the most?

We spent a lot of our time online, writing things on social media or if you are like me working on stories to share with you. Well between the spellcheck on various plug-ins we have some protection against misspelled words. Right now my plug-in is telling me I have misspelled, I know right?

My biggest issue is I seem to be a dyslexic typer. I did take a typing class in high school. but as my co-workers say I tend to only type with two fingers and it looks silly according to spell check it creates a few spelling issues. I know we all get in a big hurry but sometimes we rely on spell check and it changes our words, especially on the phone to something way odd.

A site called word tips recently did a story on these misspelled words and this is how they came up with the list I am about to share with you.

WordTips compiled a list of 350 oft-misspelled words in the English language and their most common misspellings. Then we searched and categorized a sample of over two billion geotagged tweets from around the world to find which word was most commonly misspelled in each place. U.S. English and British English versions got a pass.

So if you are like I am we are wondering what the heck is coolly? According to the Oxford dictionary, the definition is to lack enthusiasm or friendliness. An example of this is "We were greeted coolly by my husbands parents".

This word I can understand. Similar is pretty tough to spell so Texas gets a pass on this one.

Seriously. Column? I guess they leave the n out on the spelling? I mean that is a little shocking but you know you see misspelled words all the time on social media so I guess it is not a big surprise.
