Woman Drove Car for Almost 50-Years and racked up Half a Million Miles.

It's often said that the least expensive car to drive is the one you currently own. 93-year-old Rachel Veitch certainly took that to heart.

She drove her car for over half a million miles. In fact, her Mercury Comet Caliente is probably older than you are: It's a 1964 model,

which cost her about $3000. She chuckles that it outlasted her three marriages. Now, as Rachel approaches the century mark,

she's left behind her car (quote) "I am legally blind, so I can no longer drive my lovely Chariot. They don't have to take it away, I would not dream of driving that car again." Rumor has it that Jay Leno has taken intrest in Veitches Mercury Comet and Rachel is considering selling it to him, she believes Jay would take much better care of it than if she were to pass it down to her Kids or Grand Kids.
