Why Did This Invention Never Catch on? (VIDEO)

This is great! The 1950's car parking invention was way before it's time. I recently saw the commercial for the new Lexus that can park itself.  Listen to the announcer,  maybe it's just me, but I keep expecting the announcer to say "And Jerry Mathers as the Beaver".
