Two Springdale, Ark., men made the mistake of trying to rob a gun store, thinking it would be an easy target, but the 74-year-old grandmother behind the counter was not having any of it. She pulled her pistol and fired!

The two alleged would-be robbers, 25-year-old Marcus Gould, and 20-year-old Leon Roberson, entered the C & S Gun and Pawn Store in Springdale, Ark., and pulled semi-automatic handguns in an attempt to rob the store. It was then that 74-year-old Shirley Cornett pulled a .38 caliber revolver and fired shots, hitting Gould. Gould reportedly returned fire but Cornett was not injured.

Gould was later discovered at Ft. Smith's Sparks Hospital seeking medial care for his wounds. Roberson was later found in a car in the hospital parking lot and was arrested after a foot chase. Both men are facing charges of capitol attempted murder, and aggravated robbery. Here's a report from KFSM News.
