The Great Texarkana Duck Race Announce Winners

The Great Texarkana Duck Race is officially over for this year. The Friends of the Foundation of CHRISTUS St. Michael Foundation saw a festive crowd come out to Holiday Springs Water Park on Saturday, Aug. 19, to watch their adopted ducks cross the finish line in hopes of winning some great prizes. And yes, just in case you haven't heard, here are the winners.

Winner: Doni Phillips - 2017 Kia Forte from Gregg Orr Auto

Winner: Garrett Donohue - $1,000 Holiday Cleaners gift certificate

Winner: Haley Cook - $500 gift certificate Super One Foods

Winner: C. Scott Otwell - $500 gift card Classic Car Wash

Winner: June Lane Porter - Tundra 75 Yeti Cooler - Ledwell Machinery

Winner: Sandra Marshall - Custom Built Fire Pit - JCM Industries

According to their Facebook page, proceeds from previous Duck Races have helped to build the Pediatric Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of CHRISTUS St. Michael, benefited area cancer patients, purchased a patient transport van and more.  This year the event raised $50,000.
