The Great Texarkana Duck Race 2020 is Canceled

Covid-19 strikes again. The family-friendly and always fun Great Texarkana Duck Race has been canceled this year.

For the past several years it has been held at Holiday Springs Water Park but with the increase in cases officials at the CHRISTUS St. Michael Foundation had to make the tough decision to cancel this year's race.

In a press release the Executive Director of CHRISTUS St. Michael Foundation Susan Landreaux, wrote in a letter:

Dear Friends,
Due to COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure we are doing all we can to decrease the spread of the virus, the Great Texarkana Duck Race has been canceled for 2020. Our hopes and plans are to relaunch the Duck Race in the summer of 2021 at the Holiday Springs Water Park.

She also said they should have more details about next year's Great Texarkana Duck Race in the coming months.
