The Eagle signed on the air, and began rocking Texarkana on April 20, 1995. We are extremely proud to still be here, and appreciate you making KYGL-FM the most listened to rock station in the Ark-La-Tex!

Eagle 106.3 is one of the only stations in the Four-State region that has the same format today as it did when we put it on the air. That's really quite an accomplishment for any radio station, and would not have been possible without all of the feedback and input from our friends, and neighbors here at home in Texarkana. So, we say THANK YOU!

In our 18 years, we have called both sides of Stateline Avenue home. We began over on McKnight Rd., and are currently rocking Texarkana from Arkansas Blvd. Lots has changed since we started out. The Eagle was the first station in Texarkana to stream online, but now you can stream our music, and air-personalities from anywhere in the World with our mobile app radioPup.

When we signed on, our first big contest was giving away a used car. Of course that used car was a 1975 Corvette, and we found that not only did Texarkana want to rock, but they wanted to win that Corvette too. So we always do our best to have fun contests or games with really big prizes for our listeners... cars, vacations, cash, and more. Now, our VIP Rewards Club is a really cool way to take care of our most loyal listeners quick and easy with special VIP only contests, content, and more. Instead of you having to wait on us to come broadcast live from somewhere you have access 24/7 at KYGL.COM.

We here at KYGL-FM/Eagle 106.3 are thrilled to know that we have been allowed to do our events, and see many of them become regular events for the entire community to enjoy. The Eagle was the station that began Texarkana's Independence Day Festivities in 1995, of course then we were doing the fireworks shows at Central Mall, and later moved to area parks, and the event became known as "Sparks in The Park". Then the city governments from both sides of the line really started making it difficult... but that's for another blog post.

The entire staff of the Eagle want you to know how grateful we are for the opportunity to do what we do, and be a part of the Texarkana community like you have allowed us to be. There is no other place in the world we would want to call home, and you make that possible by listening, interacting with our website, our social pages, and attending our live events. We love you... truly!
