How lucky do you feel? Fans of the multi-state Powerball game have even more reasons to play this weekend. The estimated annuitized jackpot for Saturday night jumped to $380 million today. This is the largest jackpot played for in the U.S. since March 2014. With an estimated cash value of $256.8 million, tomorrow’s drawing ranks as the sixth highest cash payout on record for all U.S. lottery games and ties for the 10th highest annuitized jackpot. Elevated ticket sales contributed to today’s jackpot increase.

If there are no jackpot winners for Saturday’s drawing, the annuitized jackpot for next Wednesday will be an estimated $450 million. Tomorrow night’s jackpot started as a $40 million prize on Dec. 3, 2014 and is the result of 19 drawings with no jackpot winner. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m.

Powerball is played by choosing five numbers from one to 59 and one Powerball number from one to 35. Players win the jackpot by matching all five of the white ball numbers drawn and the red Powerball number. For $1 more per play, the Power Play feature is added and the non-jackpot prize winnings increase.
