Texas High's softball team fell to Atlanta 10-0 in their home opener Thursday night at Lady Tiger Field.The game was called after six innings.

The Lady Tigers only managed two hits, both came off the bat of starting pitcher Megan Hillis. Atlanta pitcher Alana Oliver had eight strikeouts.

Defensive miscues hurt Texas High. The game remained scoreless until the top of the fourth inning when Atlanta pounded four straight hits to go on top 4-0.The Lady Rabbs added three runs in each of the final two innings to put the game away.

"They showed a little more experience." Texas High Head Coach Robbie Hatfield said after the game. "They hit the ball well, we didn't hit the ball at all."

Texas High will be back in action Friday with a home game against DeKalb. The Junior Varsity game is set to start at 4:30 with Varsity following at 6:00. Click here for the complete 2014 Texas High softball schedule.
