Texarkana’s 23rd Annual Bramlett Beans & Cornbread Fundraiser Thursday
Now that the Christmas season has officially started it's also the season of giving. There is a great way to give back to the community and also enjoy great food with one of Texarkana's tastiest events. It's the Annual Bramlett Beans and Cornbread fundraiser this Thursday, December 2.
This year it's being held at a new location, the Texarkana Convention Center located at 2910 South Cowhorn Creek Loop in Texarkana Texas from 11AM to 1PM.
Only $5 or 6 Non-Perishable Food Items to Make a Difference
For just $5 you'll get a bowl of beans, cornbread, tea or coffee plus a dessert. Or better yet bring 6 non-perishable food items and enjoy the meal and friendship.
Proceeds will benefit the Christmas Basket Program that provides holiday food for anyone in need this Christmas Season. Both The Cities of Texarkana, Arkansas and Texas and the Texarkana Water Utilities work hard to provide 100 baskets of food for families in the Texarkana area each year.
Non-perishable food items they are accepting and in need of are:
Canned food like soups, vegetables, stews, canned chicken and tuna and fruits too.
Packaged Foods include Rice, Macroni, instant potatoes, pasta, toaster pastries, snack cakes, dry beans, crackers, cookies, candy and peanut butter. They are also excepting bags of flour, sugar and cornmeal.
