It's a busy week for the City of Texarkana, Texas and the Texarkana USA Regional Chamber of Commerce as they host the National Professional Fishing League (NPFL) tournament this week all week.

Be sure to welcome over 100 anglers that have come to Texarkana this week. They'll be practicing today, tomorrow and on Wednesday there will be visits to Watersprings Ranch, Runnin’ WJ Ranch, Opportunities Inc and a Meet and Greet for high school students at the Texarkana Convention Center starting at 5PM.

The official start of the tournament is Thursday, April 22 and will run through Saturday, April 24 at Wright Patman Lake. Weigh-ins will be held each afternoon of the tournament at the Texarkana Texas Convention Center, beginning at 3:30 PM. There will also be a concert on Friday evening that will begin after the last weigh-in around 7PM.

According to a press release,

The NPFL is a bass fishing competition between 110 of the best anglers competing in the country. According to a press release, the NPFL hosted its first tournament of the year in Eufaula, AL. The winner took home $50,000. Texarkana is the second stop on the tour.
