Texarkana West Nile Death; Other Cases Reported

A 70 year old Texarkana, Texas woman has died from West Nile Disease.Dr. Bob Frey, Health Authority with the Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Center says the victim developed the Neuroinvasive  form of the disease which is the most serious complication.

Frey says in all nine cases have been reported in Bowie County and he expects at least one more fatality. The older you are, the more dangerous West Nile becomes, and also for those with underlying medical problems.
