Day of Remembrance
It's hard to believe it was 11 years ago today that our country was shaken to its core by a cowardly attack by a group of fanatics. September 11, 2001 is a day that we now remember such as a generation before us could not forget what they were doing and what happened to the country on Pearl Harbor Day.
Of course we have gone on to hammer the enemy in both Afghanistan and Iraq and finally caught up with Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan last year.
But today is a day to remember those innocent people who were badly injured or died in the plane attacks at the World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon, and in Pennsylvania.
Remember especially the heroes, the first responders, fire fighters and police officers who rushed into the towers to try and save lives and the brave passengers on Flight 93 that fought back and kept more innocent people in Washington from being murdered.
Take a few moments to pray for the victims families, and remember we are one nation, under God.
