Texarkana Tx Police Dept. is Hiring-Civil Service Test Scheduled

Have you or someone you know always wanted to be a police officer? The Texarkana Texas Police Department is looking for a few good men and women to become police officers.

There is a civil service test that is scheduled for Saturday, December 12, and the deadline to apply is this Friday, December 4.

If you're already a licensed Texas peace officer, they will offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus and lateral entry for up to five years of experience.

Pay is $42.223 - 56,742 Annually

This position includes police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation, and related law enforcement activities.

Training will be provided, including both academic and practical instruction in subjects such as criminal law, criminal procedure, traffic law, case law, rules of evidence; investigative techniques; patrol and traffic procedures; administration of justice; and police/community relations.
