Texarkana Man Wins $125,000 in Arkansas Lottery
Frederick Smoot of Texarkana has claimed a $125,000 top prize after playing the $125,000 Jackpot instant game from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
Smoot said he first told his wife about the win, and that he plans to use the winnings toward the purchase of a home and a car. The winning ticket was sold at 71 Express, 5106 N. State Line Ave., in Texarkana, which will receive a 1 percent commission on the prize for selling the winner.
The $125,000 Jackpot is a $5 instant game from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, just launched on August 2. With 1 in 3.66 overall odds of winning, an estimated more than $5.5 million in prizes ranging from $5 to $125,000 remain on this game, including three more $125,000 top prizes. (All prizes remaining are estimated according to winning tickets that have already been claimed. The ASL cannot determine how many winning tickets may be lost or purchased but as of yet remain unclaimed. All win combinations for each prize amount have been combined into the same prize tier row. Prizes remaining are updated daily.)
