Texarkana Farmers’ Market Adds Special ‘Night Market’ This Saturday

Now that the Texarkana Farmer's Market is open every Saturday here is something else to look forward to it's there Saturday Night Market held once a month. This weekend the Farmers' Market will be open its usual time on Saturday Morning from 7AM to Noon but this weekend you can also take advantage of the Saturday Night Market.

The Texarkana Farmers' Market is located at 305 Texas Blvd. in Texarkana Texas. Starting this weekend, once a month the 'Night Market' will be open from  5PM to 8PM. This Saturday night it will be a Cultural Food Event on popular Jamaican and Dutch recipes. If you love spicy food and you've been to Jamaica then you will love to learn more about Jerk Chicken and for your sweet tooth, you'll learn all about a special Dutch treat. , there will be a demonstration on Dutch Oliebollen Treats Oliebollen translated to Oil balls, yeah it doesn't sound great at first until you realize these came before the donut that we all know and love!

 Cooking demonstrations scheduled are:

• Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Ackee plus Saltfish by Sophia and Vashil Fernandez
• Dutch Oliebollen Treats  by Sarah and Wilma
