Texarkana, Ark., Police Searching for Armed Robber

The Texarkana, Ark., Police Department is searching for an armed robber who targeted a local hotel overnight.

Authorities were called around 12:30 a.m. to a local hotel in the 5300 block of North Stateline Avenue in reference to an aggravated robbery.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the hotel employee who advised an unknown black male entered the lobby and approached the front desk demanding money from the employee while displaying a handgun.  The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a black male 25-30 years old, approximately 5'10" to 6' tall with a slender build who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.
