It's a big weekend for a citywide clean-up and recycling in Texarkana, Arkansas. If you would like to be a part of keeping Texarkana clean and green they are looking for you and a few other volunteers too.   

The clean up is this Saturday, October 12 from 9AM to noon. According to the City of Texarkana, Arkansas Facebook page, volunteers will meet behind the Arkansas City Hall at 3rd and Hazel to pick up supplies and choose from target areas to pick up trash or select their own area.
Dumpsters are being provided by the city for Arkansas residents to bring larger items to dispose of. These will be located at Sandflat Neighborhood Center, IronMountain Neighborhood Center and College Hill, Bramble Park Center.

The City of Texarkana, Arkansas is also having a big recycling day this Saturday, October 12 at the City Shop, located at 2601 Dudley Street from 8AM to 1PM.

Be sure to separate your items for recycling before you arrive at the center. According to the press release, Items should then be placed into the appropriate bins provided. Items accepted are - Paper, Cardboard, Aluminum Cans, Metal Cans, Clear
Plastic Drink Bottles, and Milk Jugs…..Bottles and Milk Jugs should be rinsed and emptied. No other items will be accepted. Please don’t dump your trash at the Recycling Center. This recycling event is held the second Saturday of each
Month at the city shop.
