The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Iron Horse Shooting Team competed in the ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships in San Antonio, Texas, on March 26 through April 1. The Iron Horse Team finished seventh place in all-around American events for their division and eighth place in high overall points.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will hold "Camp Save-A-Life" at the Hope and Texarkana campuses this summer. The Camp will be held on the Hope campus June 25 through June 28 and on the Texarkana campus July 23 through July 27. The camp is for students who have finished 6th grade through age 14.

Gene Haas Foundation Donates to CNC Machining Program Scholarships
The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana recently received a grant from the Gene Haas Foundation. The $1,000 grant will be used to support scholarships and NIMS credentialing for students training on the new computer numerical control (CNC) machine which is built into the curriculum of the Industrial Maintenance Programs at UAHT.

University to Offer Night Welding Class at Prescott High
The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is partnering with the Prescott Public School District, Adult Education, and the Nevada County Office of Economic Development to offer an evening Basic Welding Course at the Prescott High School campus. Spring classes will meet on Monday and Tuesday nights from 6PM to 8:45PM.  Classes begin Tuesday, January 9.
