The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is continuing to help change the face of higher education. UAHT recently added a mobile welding classroom to the methods of instruction offered by the college.

Zack Rhinehart of Texarkana, Arkansas, accepted a scholarship today to shoot with the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Iron Horse Shooting Team. The scholarship, funded by Smiles of Arkansas Dental Center, is good for up to $650 for the academic year.

Zane Lee Talley of Texarkana, Arkansas, accepted a scholarship June 21 to shoot with the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana Iron Horse Shooting Team.

Each year the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana honors an outstanding staff member. UAHT is proud to announce that this year’s winner is Bernice McDonald.

Two students from the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) have earned back-to-back Coca-Cola New Century Scholarships. According to the press release, Hannah Kincheloe, of Waldo, was awarded the 2017 scholarship and Amanda Condon, of Texarkana, was awarded the scholarship in 2016.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana has received re-accreditation from the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP). NACEP granted accreditation to concurrent enrollment programs at 19 colleges and universities this year, according to a press release. This brings the total number of accredited programs across the country to 105.

Registration for summer and fall classes at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is open.  Summer 1 classes begin on Tuesday, May 30.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will hold two upcoming ACT Prep Workshops for students in 8th through 11th grades.

Registration for spring classes at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana is open now through January 11, 2017.

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) recently trained students who are enrolled in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Program to be certified in forklift operations.  The course was taught by a certified OSHA industry trainer.

Dr. Josephine Kahler of Texarkana, Texas, has been named the Division Chair of the Arkansas Rural Nursing Education Consortium (ARNEC) LPN/LVN-to-RN transition program at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana.
