Three decades after they were originally recorded, songs that Michael Jackson wrote and demoed with Queen frontman Freddie Mercury are finally close to seeing the light of day.
In 1992 the surviving members of Queen invited friends and fellow musicians to pay tribute to the late Freddie Mercury. The concert included performances from over a dozen top rock and pop artists of the day, from David Bowie to Guns N' Roses to Metallica and Def Leppard. A Two DVD set featuring performances from 1982's Space Tour will hit stores on May 21. Queen on Fire: Live at the Bowl boasts footage of the lauded British rockers' entire June 5, 1982, concert at the U.K.'s Milton Keynes Bowl, as well as a variety of bonus material.
A plaque that until this year few knew existed has gone missing. The marker is believed to represent the the final resting place of Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991.
Now this is interesting! Queen‘s Brian May and Roger Taylor say they have recordings of Freddie Mercury singing with Michael Jackson. We just might get a chance to hear the recordings next year!
