It's Valentine's Day and here's a way to show your love in the best way possible. Give the gift of life. There is a serious blood shortage in our area and it's up to us to step up to the plate and donate blood.

Blood supplies are low during the Christmas season because everyone is busy shopping and wrapping presents, attending company Christmas parties visiting with friends and getting ready for family gatherings. That's why it is so important to take a few minutes and donate blood this time of year.

As we get closer to the holidays and our schedules get busier and busier and our blood supply at LifeShare Blood Center goes down. Right now there is less than a day of Type O in reserve. But all blood types are needed. Be sure to stop by one of these blood drives in our area over the next couple of weeks.

LifeShare’s largest annual blood drive event is going on right now. It started yesterday and will go on today and tomorrow.

LifeShare Blood Center is continuing its emergency appeal as inventory levels are at historic lows levels. This is the second emergency appeal due to critical low levels.  LifeShare is in desperate need of all types of blood and the community is needed to reach the demand for hospitals.

Be sure to stop by one of these LifeShare Blood Center blood drives at the following locations this month.

Save a life and become a blood donor. It only takes a few minutes to help others. Did you know that one out of seven people that are admitted into a hospital will need blood?

As we settle into the month of September and get into the routine of kids going back to school, don't forget to make a donation at one of these blood drives in and around the Texarkana area.

The local blood supply has reached a critically low level with only enough to last two days. Anyone who may be able to donate blood is encouraged to go to a blood donation center or drive.

The blood supply in our area is very low in fact there is only a day or two of donated blood supply available. Be sure to stop by one of these blood drives in the month of April.

It seems like everyone has either been sick recently or is getting sick. It's been one heck of a flu season and some people have had strep throat as well. When so many people get sick it means that fewer people are donating blood and that causes a blood shortage.That is exactly what is happening right now and all blood types are needed.

It's an amazing thought. Make one donation of blood and you could easily save three lives. It's that easy to be a hero. Be sure and stop by one of these blood drives in the month of February.
