The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a special weather statement for the listening area. As temps drop, icing is a strong possibility on elevated surfaces overnight.

Patchy ice will be possible tonight on elevated roadways, bridges, and overpasses in Northeast Texas, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Arkansas. Areas of light sleet and snow will continue to spread east northwest tonight. (11/16)

Temperatures are currently near or at freezing across the listening area, and another arctic blast is coming in overnight with temps dropping below freezing. With the colder temperatures expect icing. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution when traveling overnight through Monday morning. Any ice that may develop should melt by mid morning as the temps should rise above freezing.
