Ronald McDonald House Charities of Texarkana recently presented members of the Texas High School Robotics Team (T-BOTS) with a grant check for $7,000. Funds will allow the team to purchase a cargo trailer to carry their competition robot to/from competitions and to provide outreach to local elementary and middle schools.

According to Jennifer Klar, Coordinator of Secondary Math & Science for TISD, “Having robotics on wheels will help the program grow and achieve new heights in our area.”

To date, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Texarkana has contributed $17,000 to the program. The T-BOTS organization allows students to participate in FIRST Robotics events and competitions that give students the opportunity to improve their robotics skills, knowledge and experience.
