"Rolling Stone" recently polled their readers to come up with a list of The Best Album Covers of All Time. And the #1 spot went to THE BEATLES' 1967 album, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". (How original.) Here's the Top 10:

1.)  "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", The Beatles (1967)

(Did you notice?  Eight of the 10 albums were released between 1965 and 1975.  And there's only one album on the list from the past 30 YEARS... Nirvana's "Nevermind" from 1991.)

(That means one of three things...)

(A: Everyone that reads "Rolling Stone" is a fan of mainstream classic rock... B:  Everyone that reads "Rolling Stone" is about 60 years old... or C:  They just don't make album covers like they used to.)

(The last one is probably the most likely... especially over the past 10 years, when the Digital Era has turned the idea of "cover art" into an old time novelty.)

(I am personally offended that there is not one single "Molly Hatchet" album on there... but that might just be my upbringing...)

(Are there any album covers that you think NEED to be included in a list of the greatest of all time?  Leave a comment, and tell us why.)
