The Texarkana Arkansas police have made arrangements to memorialize K-9 officer Zorg. He died of natural causes on Sunday, and the public is invited to attend his memorial service.

Zorg joined the force in October of 2005 and was assigned to Officer Jeff Savage. During his career with T.A.P.D. Zorg excelled at Narcotics Detection and had many seizures Including one traffic stop alone where Zorg, along with his partner, seized $220,000.00 worth of marijuana.

Zorg retired from the force due to medical issues in September 2012. He lived with his family, until his passing Sunday March 30, 2014.

A public memorial service is scheduled to be held at East Memorial Gardens Monday, April 7th at 10:00 a.m. The service will be held in a special area near the front of the gardens. This area has been designated only for police K-9's. This ceremony is open to the public so that we may all pay tribute to Zorg’s service with the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.
