With the new Beatles compilation On Air Live at the BBC Volume 2 due out this Monday, a microsite TheBeatles.com/OnAir has been launched that offers fans a number of ways to preview the album of vintage radio recordings.

One feature that's accessible at the site is an interactive radio player that features snippets of performances and conversations with band members from various programs the Fab Four visited back in their early days.

The site also is offering a stream of a full live version of "I'll Follow the Sun" that The Beatles played during their second visit to the BBC late-night show Top Gear.  In addition, a new promotional trailer has been posted online that gives fans a little background about the band's frequent BBC appearances and features a clip of a live version of "Anna" followed by some humorous banter between John Lennon and a radio show host.

As previously reported, On Air Live at the BBC Volume 2 is culled from the dozens of appearances The Beatles made on various radio shows between March 1962 and June 1965.  The album features a whopping 63 tracks, and is available as a two-CD set and a 180-gram vinyl-LP package.  The compilation includes 37 previously unreleased performances and 23 unreleased recordings of the band members talking with each other and with various radio presenters.

The compilation is a sequel to 1994's Live at the BBC, a remastered version of which also will be released on Tuesday.
