Texarkana, Texas Police are looking for a suspect who stole a 79-year-old woman's purse from her while she was leaving a local grocery store yesterday afternoon.

Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of the Albertson’s Grocery Store in the 2300 block of Richmond Road.

At 1:45 p.m. yesterday, police say a woman was returning to her vehicle after leaving the store. As she got to her vehicle, she was suddenly approached by a man who grabbed her purse from her arm. She fell to the ground as he pulled the purse away from her. The man then ran to a waiting mid-1990s maroon Ford Mustang that was being driven by another subject. The vehicle was last seen headed toward Mall Drive at a high rate of speed.

Police say the suspect was described as a white male who was believed to be 20 to 30 years old. He was wearing blue jeans and a maroon hoodie. The victim was transported to Christus St. Michael Hospital by LifeNet for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.
