Phil Collins is in the hospital following an injury he suffered while staying at a hotel on June 7.

The 66-year-old music icon slipped in his bathroom late Wednesday evening, injuring his head after losing his footing due to a previous back operation. His June 8 and 9 performances at London's Royal Albert Hall have been rescheduled for November.

Early Thursday morning, his team shared a statement about his health on Facebook, explaining, "Phil suffers from 'drop foot' as a result of a back operation which makes it difficult to walk. He rose in the middle of the night to go to the toilet and slipped in his hotel room, hitting his head in the fall on a chair. He was taken to hospital where he had stitches for a severe gash on his head close to his eye and is recovering well. He will be kept under observation for 24 hours."

Barring any further medical complications, Collins will resume his tour in Cologne, Germany on Sunday, June 11.
