An argument at a home in Wake Village, Texas turned violent leaving one man in the hospital and another behind bars.

Authorities in Wake Village responded to a shooting in the 300 block of West Greenfield around 11:00PM Thursday night. Police sayl, Officer Adam Ball discovered that a identified as 35 year old Jesse Scott Burns had been shot multiple times.

Police say Burns had been shot allegedly by another man, identified as Clifton Rushing Jr., during an argument that had turned physical. Burns was transported from the scene to a local hospital where he was rushed to emergency surgery. Rushing was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked into jail at the Bi-State Justice Building. WVPD was assisted by deputies of the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office, officer’s with Nash Police Department and Troopers of the Texas Department of Public Safety..

The investigation into what led to the disagreement and shooting continues today.
