No Eclipse Glasses? Make an Eclipse Viewer With a Shoebox
Today is the day. The Solar Eclipse will take place around 11:45AM and go til about 2:30PM with the maximum coverage between 1PM and 1:30PM. If you are like me and couldn't find any of those special eclipse glasses, have no fear.
The video below shows an easy way to make a Solar Eclipse Viewer with a shoebox. Remember, Please do not look at the sun directly with your bare eyes!
To make one here is what you'll need:
- A shoebox or any small box with a lid
- Small square of aluminum foil
- Small square of white paper
- Utility knife or hobby knife
- Tape
- Pin
