I cannot believe this is the most iconic food in Arkansas.

You know if there is a story about food I am all in. So I got stuck in one of those 'rabbit holes' on youtube and a video caught my eye on the most iconic food in every state. So of course I had to find out what is the iconic food in our area. Just to give you an idea of the kind of food we are talking about.

Alaska

The most iconic food for Alaska is Salmon, I can see that for sure with all of that fishing we see on TV.

Colorado

In Colorado, it is mountain oysters. If you don't know what they are, mountain oysters are deep-fried bull testicles.

Louisiana

Louisiana is all about Gumbo. I do love a good gumbo. There are so many different versions of Gumbo that are served in our area.

So I am a little surprised that cheese dip is the most iconic food. But Arkansans take their cheese dip very seriously. There is even a cheese dip festival that is held yearly in Little Rock.
