Man’s Best Friend is Baby’s Best Friend Too
It is widely known that Dogs have a great influence on not only people's mental well being as therapy dogs, but physical healing too.
There is a recent study that says dogs in the household may actually help babies stay healthier.
Scientists in Finland had parents keep up with the interactions between their children and pets during the first year of the babies life. The study showed that children in homes with dogs were less likely to get sick. Less ear infections, less coughs, and sniffles and less likely to need antibiotics than kids with no interactions with furry friends.
(To be fair, living with a cat did have the same effect, BUT to a much lesser extent... meaning that it is now scientifically tested and proven that dogs are better than cats.)
Some researchers believe that dogs going in, and out of the house, exposes kids to certain allergens and dirt the helps to naturally build their immune systems.
I'm no scientist, but it all makes sense to me. So, in my scientific opinion... I concur.
