Be Near Kiss’ New Year’s Eve Show – for $25,000
Kiss has unveiled the top-tier hotel packages available for their pay-per-view Kiss 2020 Goodbye show, and they are as extravagant and expensive as one might expect.
Even more remarkable was the confirmation that fans would still be watching on TV from their room – even after paying up to $24,750 for the experience – unless they opted to buy floor seating for the socially distanced event.
“In addition to a five-night stay at the beautiful Atlantis, the Palm Dubai, Black Diamond VIP guests will be treated like Kiss royalty,” the band said of the $13,000 pass for this New Year’s Eve concert. “Each guest will receive a collection of extremely limited, one-of-a-kind gifts that won’t be available to anyone else! Each purchase of a Black Diamond VIP Package will also give you elite access to exclusive experiences with the band, Unmasked Stories and Songs with Kiss, a photo on the Kiss 2020 Goodbye Stage, and so much more!”
The highest-priced Double Platinum package offered all those attractions plus “a private, socially distanced Masked Photo with Kiss, access to seats by the pool for the Unmasked Kiss Soundcheck, and their choice of an Ibanez Guitar signed by Paul Stanley or Axe Guitar signed by Gene Simmons, plus so much more! This package has never been offered in all of Kisstory!”
Other details included airport transfer (by chauffeur for Double Platinum customers), complimentary dinner and drinks, a beverage and snack pack delivered to fans' room for the show, autographed set list, event laminate, a welcome video plus the range of souvenirs previously made available in the non-attendance Platinum VIP package, which retails for $999.
Simmons already confirmed that Kiss aimed to set a world record with a million-dollar pyro show; Stanley has said there's more in store: “We will be breaking Guinness world records for all kinds of things. The most important thing to us was to make sure that people involved — 500 workers putting this thing together, 3,000 people attending at a safe distance, and yours truly — be safe, and that was paramount to us."
