I love to travel and see new places and famous attractions. There are wonderful things to see in every state and then there are the not-so-great tourist attractions or they are so crowded that you think why did I come here?

I found a list of the worst tourist attractions in each state and yes some on the list don't look like they'd be worth the time. Then there are others that I would actually love to fight the crowds to see.

Did you know there is The North Pole in Fairbanks, Alaska? How could you think that's a bad thing? In Blackfoot Idaho, there's the Potato Museum. Now, this one might be a little tough to get excited about. But in New Mexico, they list Roswell as the worst attraction in the state. Who doesn't want to go there? I mean really...the Truth is Out There.

In Mississippi, the worst attraction listed is the birthplace of Elvis. Yes, it's a small two-bedroom cottage in Tupelo but I think it'd be worth the visit.

Here's a new one for me, in Riverside, Iowa, Trekkies have located the "Future Birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk" There is even a marker with the date March 22, 2228. How cool is that? There is also The Voyage Home Riverside History Center, also known as the Star Trek Museum, which features Star Trek exhibits and memorabilia.

But for Texas and Arkansas well here's where it gets weird. But weird is still good.

The National Museum of Funeral History

Located near Houston in Spring Texas. This Museum features exhibits that show you the history of funeral rituals through the years, cremation, embalming, coffins, caskets, and hearses...Oh, joy. There are also some displays on presidents' and celebrities' funerals too. Actually, it sounds like an interesting place for a quick visit.

Located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, the Josephine Tussaud Wax Museum has quite a collection of rather creepy wax figures.

Rumor has it that there is a fake wall in the men's restroom that hides an exit that was used by gangsters in the 1930s.

To tell you the truth, I'd love to stop at all these attractions. How about you?
