How cool was that? Yesterday's eclipse wasn't a total eclipse for us in our area but it was still cool. Before the eclipse was at it's full potential here, I rushed home to find my husband had set up an eclipse watching station. We didn't have the special glasses so we had to watch it the old fashion way.

If you enjoyed watching the eclipse yesterday then get ready for the one coming in 2024. April 8, 2024 to be exact. This one will be a total eclipse in the Texarkana area. It will be at it's totality at 1:45PM that afternoon.

Maybe I'm just a geek about this kind of thing but it just amazes me and makes me realize just how small we really are. Seriously, just a spec in time. Yesterday's eclipse covered about 80% of the sun. Hard to believe how bright it still was with that much covered. The reflection of the sun through the trees was pretty awesome too.

How did you watch the eclipse? Did you use glasses or watch the old way with a reflection on the ground or a piece of paper? Or did you just watch it on TV?
