It feels like it's been a long winter, but the good news is that Spring is just around the corner. It's hard to believe that Daylight Savings Time will be here before you know it.

Sunday, March 8 will be the day that we will 'Spring Forward' one hour. The subject of Daylight Savings Time is almost as polarizing as politics these days. Most people have an opinion.

Here's mine: I love Daylight Savings Time. Yeah, I get it that some people say it's not really necessary because of modern technology. Whatever! Here's the deal, if we stayed with Standard Time all year, the people that work 8 to 5 still won't have much daylight in the summer. By the time they run their errands and finally get home they still don't have very much time to enjoy the daylight!

I think most of us who love Daylight Savings Time are also big fans of summer. There is something about Daylight Savings Time that brings out the child in me. The memories flood my mind about playing outside and the excitement of realizing I could stay out and play longer! As I get older, after a winter of hibernation, Daylight Savings Time is something I look forward to every year.

How about you. Do you love or hate Daylight Savings Time?
