Ahmaud Arbery's life matters....as a mother, my heart hurts and my eyes burn....for the promising life cut short.....the root of Ahmaud’s murder is SIMPLE it’s the criminalization of blackness that we have seen FAR too often his only sin was the color of his skin......I’m asking you to come out and help us honor this life cut short....

Bring your signs, bring your lawn chairs, bring someone who doesn't look like you, and above all, bring your heart! We'll see you Downtown Texarkana this Sunday, May 24.

BACKGROUND: On February 23, 2020, Ahmaud Arbery, a 25-year-old African American man, was jogging in a Georgia neighborhood when he was shot and killed by two white men who thought he had burglarized homes in the neighborhood. He was unarmed, breaking no laws, and minding his own business, but obviously that means little to nothing if you'e a black man in this country.  An arrest wasn't made til Thursday, May 7, 2020.
