Flood Advisory For Texarkana

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for both Bowie County in Northeast Texas and Miller County in Southwest Arkansas.A strong thunderstorm was dropping rain by the rate of 2 inches per hour. This was causing some high water in underpasses and on streets where drainage was poor. Drive carefully through high water areas and turn around if necessary.

The photo above was of the Oaklawn Shopping Center at the corner of Robison and New Boston Road in Texarkana, Texas.

At least with this one storm the Texas side got the majority of the rain. The forecast calls for a good chance for more showers and heavy thunderstorms through the evening hours and then again on Tuesday.
