The Texas A&M University-Texarkana women’s soccer team will host a Red River Athletic Conference first-round playoff match on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m.

The match will be played at Eagle Field on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.

The Eagles qualified as the #3 seed and will take on #6 seed University of the Southwest of Hobbs, New Mexico.

A&M-Texarkana will host the RRAC men’s and women’s soccer championships with the semifinals and championship game in Texarkana on consecutive days, Nov. 9-10.

Women’s qualifiers include Louisiana State University Alexandria (#1 seed), Wiley College (#2 seed), Texas A&M University-Texarkana (#3 seed), Huston-Tillotson University (#4 seed), University of St. Thomas (#5 seed) and University of the Southwest (#6 seed).

Men’s qualifiers include the University of Houston-Victoria (#1 seed), Our Lady of the Lake University (#2 seed), University of the Southwest (#3 seed), Louisiana State University Alexandria (#4 seed), Huston-Tillotson University (#5 seed) and University of St. Thomas (#6 seed).

“For the first time in A&M-Texarkana’s history, we are thrilled to host a first-round playoff match at Eagle Field,” said Michael Galvan, director of athletics. “We hope the entire community will join us on Saturday to watch our Eagles play some incredible soccer and then come back next week to watch the RRAC tournament action.”
