The DEA has released it's list of the top Meth Producing States in the U.S. for 2011, and congratulations once again to Missouri, the number one meth producing state in the country.  State officials are trying to spin it to indicate how much more proactive they are at shutting down meth labs, than other states.

Missouri shut down, on average, 5.74 Meth labs per day.  They shut down 2,096 meth labs in 2011.  In Jefferson County, not far from St. Louis, there were more arrests for meth in 2011 than in Florida, California, and Texas combined.

Behind Missouri, the top meth producing states were Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
