It didn't take long less than 24 hours after the University of Arkansas officials announced that offensive coordinator Kendal Briles was leaving to coach the TCU Horned Frogs as their OC, the U of A has named Dan Enos as the new offensive coordinator.

If the name sounds familiar to Arkansas fans that's because Enos was the offensive coordinator in 2017, back when former QB Brandon Allen (Cincinnati Bengals) set three school records including his record-setting single-game touchdown passes seven against Mississippi State, the same year Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys) was the Bulldog QB.

Dan Enos returns to Arkansas after spending the last two seasons as the OC and QB coach for the University of Maryland Terrapins, according to KARK-TV.

Arkansas Head Football Coach Sam Pittman was looking for an offensive coordinator with a balanced attack in running and passing along with coaching up and developing the QBs. Enos checked all the boxes. Numerous school records were broken in 2021 with the Terrapins as the team set single-season records in passing yards, total yards, completion, and completion percentage.

Having been at several major colleges over the past few years, including spending the 2020 season with the Cincinnati Bearcats, where their offense ranked in the Top 25 in rushing offense and points per game. Enos also coached at Alabama in 2018 after leaving Arkansas and where he helped Alabama QB Taulia Tagovailoa now with the NFL Miami Dolphins.

Enos played four years at Michigan State from 1987-1990 including two of those years as the starting quarterback. As an offensive coordinator and QB coach Enos brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to both positions.

The 2015-2016 Razorbacks' offense ranked in the Top 10 in total yards and yards per game and was considered very productive in the school's history.

This will mark the second time that 54-year-old Dan Enos will work with Sam Pittman at Arkansas since he was the offensive coordinator in 2015 for ex-Coach Brett Bielema.
