Texas will be opening up salons on Friday. But, what about the woman in Dallas that refused to close her salon during the Stay-at-Home order? Well, she's in jail.

According to CBS News:

court documents, (Shelley) Luther was sentenced to seven days in jail for violating a temporary restraining order to close her business and fined $500 each to the county's criminal and civil courts for every day the salon remained open. She openly violated the governor's stay-at-home order, an effort to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Watch the video and tell us what you think. Did she have the right to keep her salon open or not. What would you have done? All of our salons on the Texas and Arkansas side went along with our county and city orders. Should they have stayed open? Personally, as hard as it was for them, I appreciate that they closed for the good and health of their clients and our community. What about you? What do you think?

and the latest:

Governor Greg Abbott today released the following statement on the jailing of Dallas Salon Owner, Shelley Luther:

"I join the Attorney General in disagreeing with the excessive action by the Dallas Judge, putting Shelley Luther in jail for seven days. As I have made clear through prior pronouncements, jailing Texans for non-compliance with executive orders should always be the last available option. Compliance with executive orders during this pandemic is important to ensure public safety; however, surely there are less restrictive means to achieving that goal than jailing a Texas mother."
